When coco+kelley celebrated our five-year anniversary back in May, I decided this would be the year for gratitude and growth. So many people have contributed to our successes over the years, and I wanted to start by thanking them. So… we threw a party!!!

I’m sure many of you remember me blogging about my inspiration for this evening back in July, and I’m so excited to finally be sharing some of it with you today! Just think of it as one more way to savor the last days of summer…

Surrounded by so many of my most favorite people in the world, and brought to life with the help of some amazing vendors and sponsors, the evening turned out to be simply magical…

The concept was to create a fresh garden party – with an Italian flair (of course). I implored the help of my crafty friends at hens & chicks to create the ceiling installation as a playful ode to flowery vines, while my florist McKenzie Powell put together stunning centerpieces in traditional gold urns.  I love how all the elements worked together to feel fresh and classic a the same time.

The tabletops came together beautifully with the china provided by our sponsor, Noritake. I used their Pembroke pattern in alternating gold and platinum for each setting, and they were just perfect!  And those incredible menus? Done by Sally at la Happy, they may secretly have been my favorite detail of the evening. There’s something about hand calligraphy that makes things feel so special!

Oh… and then there were the shoes…

That’s just a peek at the gorgeous tabletops and a hint of the rest of the party scene to come… can we say photo booth?? I’ll also talk a little bit more about the details and how it all came together…

um, the moment I saw the 2nd photo, I said: “that has got to be McKenzie Powell designed- floral arrangement.” So glad I was right! What a lovely party, you certainly have a way of bringing it all together.
