There’s a reason they say summer arrives in Seattle on the 5th of July. Because it’s absolutely true! The sun is shining and there’s no sign of it stopping, which means I have a nice lazy weekend ahead of me. Now to just find the perfect spot to settle in with a good book…
Desperately wishing I had a little sun porch of my own to waste the hours away on, but with my curtains flung wide open and my comfy white sofa to lounge upon, I think I’ll make due. Now… what book to devour? Any suggestions?

Love these little reading spaces! Try the book ‘Shes come undone’, a little serious, a little funny, and very interesting!

Am I seeing that giant frog lamp correctly? Love it.
Oh yeah, I could lounge in any of those spaces! Very nice…very perfect for the weekend! xoxo
I’m escaping the heat and reading The Icon Thief by Alec Nevala-Lee. Great read…kind of Da Vinci Code – esque.
Right now since we’ve been dealing with temps reaching 100+, about all the lounging I can manage on our south facing screened porch is in the morning with the Washington Post and a pitcher of home-brewed ice-coffee, (preferably Counter Culture)
I would recommend any of Barbara Kingsolver’s books– I’ve just started the The Lacuna, but have read The Poisonwood Bible and Vegetable, Animal, Miracle.
Wild, well written summer read….”Girl Gone”….finished it a few days ago still thinking about it!
Whoops that’s Gone Girl. …the book has me that rattled!
This is definitely what summer is all about!
Love the relaxing spaces all done in white with modest pops of color. I could curl up and nap in any one of those spaces.
