RUE IS PLAYING SANTA! $2000 WORTH OF GOODIES FOR YOU!

‘Tis the season for giving, and we at Rue want to spread our love and appreciation for our readers with a seriously amazingly huge bomb-diggity giveaway!
ruegiveawaywardrobe
First off, the Rue girl needs to be bundled up for winter party hopping, and decked out with a stunner accessory, so we’ve got a cozy Quicksilver Puffy Coat and an  Elva Fields original necklace to add to your wardobe. But before your big night out, you’re going to need to pretty up…
ruegiveawaybath
Don’t worry, we’ve got that handled too. The complete hypoallergenic collection of skin products from Perricone MD, a GHD limited edition flat iron, and white mulberry hand wash and lotion set from Molton Brown (a personal fave of mine!) complete with stainless steel holder should do the trick.
ruegiveawaydecorate
Now going out is all well and good, but a girl’s gotta give her digs some love too, so naturally, we’re giving away some very lust-worthy decor to pamper your home too. An Ernest bar cart from CB2, Dwell Studio tubular burst objet, Crate & Barrel Nord vase, and Dwell Studio duvet and shams.
ruegiveawaybooks
And, just to round things out, we’re providing you with some inspirational reading materials too. Copies of Decorate, The Liberty Book of Home Sewing, It’s Lonely in the Modern World, Open Studios with Lotta Jansdotter, and Nomad will soon be gracing your shelves.

So, not you’re probably wondering how to enter huh? Well, my dears, you get not one, not two but FIVE ways to enter to win this little contest because every editor (Crystal, Anne, Bri and I) are asking you to answer a different question in our comments section as your entry. Here’s mine:

If you could give one gift from the Rue Holiday Issue Gift Guides, what would it be??

And for an extra entry, tweet this little phrase: “I wanna win the $2k @RueMagazine holiday giveaway!” with a link back to this post. That’s it! Now go do a little blog hopping, and Rue reading. The winner will be drawn next Wednesday! Good luck.

Honestly, I would love the band.do big bow headband on p.17. My mom and I share a birthday (30 Jan) and she’s turning the big 5-0 in 2012. I’ve been saving for over a year and I managed to snag tickets to the Kentucky Derby, an event she’s been dreaming about attending since she was little. Everyone will be decked out in their Sunday best but, wish as I may, I’m just NOT a hat person. That headband would allow me feel youthful and participatory in the fashion headgear Olympics that is Churchill Downs while also letting me stand out from the hatted crowd. Plus, the derby is on Cinco de Mayo next year and what says “¡Fiesta!” better than a giant bow?

I’d gift my mother the Spisani Python Bookends. Everyone in my household growing up enjoyed reading and we had tons of books. I think these bookends would add some spice to my mother’s bookshelf and everyone who’d visit would definitely want their own set.

Of all the gifts on the many gift guides, I think the one that I would most love to give would be the Vespa for my mister! We live in Minnesota and he’s still riding his bike to work every day… How fun would it be to see him zooming along in a seafoam Vespa instead!

so glad that i get rue electronically, because if i had a hard copy it would be covered in sharpie cirlces and tagged page corners! i want it all! still, if i had to pick just one thing to GIVE, i would want to give my lil sis the retro vespa (it IS hypothetical, after all!) she just graduated this past year and is doing service work in seattle having never been away from home (DC.) she is choosing to spend the holidays in seattle, in part because she cant afford to fly home, but also because of the carbon footprint. having little possessions to her name (one WAS a computer which she had stolen from her place), I would love nothing more than to give her an environmental way to travel! not to mention she has the best style of anyone i know and would DIE with how fabulous the vintage vespa looks!

Thanks so much for the chance to win this incredible giveaway! The Holiday Issue of Rue is gorgeous! Where to start with choosing just one gift…Can I choose a category? It would be “The Modish Miss”, as I could share the items with my 17 year old daughter :-) Thanks again!

If I could choose a gift from the holiday issue it would no doubt be the Mary McDonald lamp which is just up my mom’s alley! It matches her chic/rustic style to a tee.

My sister has the perfect modish miss vibe, everything in the gift guide reminded me of her…but the bando headband is right up her alley, I am sure that she would wear it everyday, and those are my favorite gifts to give!

It would absolutely be the One Sydney Lane tote. My book club is just an excuse to get together, have some wine, cook different food based on the book, and catch up. It would be the perfect gift.

I would for sure have to give my boyfriend, Ryan, that awesome Vespa! He’s recently moved to Boston from Austin, and couldn’t take his scooter with him, so what could be better?! He would DIE if I was able to hand that pretty thang over!

Oh me oh my! If I could win anything from this goodie lineup… it would be the Dwell Studio duvet and shams to share with my new hubby-to-be. They are the perfect blend of feminine (soft, thin lines) and masculine (gray, neutral colors and pattern). With all the decorating to be done, this is one thing I’m sure we’ll agree on :) .

I would love to give someone an Elva Fields necklace. Three reasons. 1. I have one and I LOVE it. 2. Everyone NEEDS a statement necklace, there is no reason not to have one. 3. My favorite this to do is shop small boutique or local shops. Support your the small guys, they are usually the most unique!

oh my Rue, you’ve really come through with such an amazing gift guide, it’s so hard to give just one thing, but if i had to I’d pick the GHD Flat Iron only because I know my best friend has been thinking about getting on to deal with her cowlicks lol* but I’d also love to give the dwell bedside ornament, it’s such a pretty piece. :)

I would want to give the skin care products or the flat iron to my roommate, because being fresh out of college (being poor) a girl could use some lovely and pampering gifts to refresh for the holidays.

That Madewell lingerie set is perfect – equally the right kind of casual (with my boyfriend’s cardigan and comfy camp socks), the right kind of flirty fun, and right amount of sophistication to let show through a vintage lace blouse I have!

I actually have had the Rue Holiday issue open on my computer for days!!! I’ve been reading and enjoying it over and over. After all that time I still can’t decide –
SO many things to love, and share.
If pushed to choose I would have to say the Elva Field’s necklace for my best friend. She and I always spoil each other at Christmas time and we both collect jewelry, old and new. She would LOVE!
    Thanks for the opportunity!

This was an easy one, I would give the Normann Copenhagen Whiskey glasses to my best guy, my husband Mike. A few years ago we bought our first house and in our move I gave his favorite whiskey glass to a friend of ours who needed housewares for their new apartment. To this day he won’t let it go because we have still not found a glass as good as that one was for drinking whiskey. I think these could be THEEEEE ONES!
