For years now, this has been one of my favorite rooms for a variety of reasons…
The apricot chairs. The silvery blue bench. The distressed wood coffee table. The fresh white sofa. And the little pop of pattern from those fabulous pillows. Well, if I can’t have it all, at least I can have these…
I love that there has been a resurgence in the use of traditional textiles from around the world, and this simple, but beautiful pattern, named for the Kuba people of Zaire (now the Republic of the Congo) is no exception. Sick of ikats and suzanis? Try this one on for something a little different. Pillows or lamp. It’s your choice.

I love this option and this space. Thanks for the resource for the pillows and lamps! Have a great Monday!
This is such a serene room. I love the pillows and the lamps. A great alternative to suzanis and ikats.
I agree! Lovely room. Casual and and chic all at once.
I love this room. It has a little bit of everything, color, pattern, texture…it also struck the perfect balance of being clean and modern while still being comfy and inviting…ahhh perfection!
The room looks like the perfect place to relax and catch a nap. I love everything about it! The details are perfection!
it's lovely – but it's the apricot that wins me over..
Obsessed with those pillows…to me they make that whole room sing!
Love, love, love the KUBA! As always your keen sense of what's beautiful is on point!
What a great room, thanks for pointing out the bench was blue, I was totally drawn into the apricot chairs and those gorgeous peonies on the table! Great pattern on those pillows, adds just the right about of pop to the room. Thanks for sharing!!

Been seeing that pattern in a few places, thanks for sharing the name and info! I do love that it's a new graphic element. I'm not QUITE sick of ikat yet, but I'm ready for something new and different and these are beautiful!

I love the pattern – just beautiful!! I also want to note that Zaire is no longer that country's name. Zaire was the name of the present Democratic Republic of the Congo.
What wonderful warm colors and textures!
oh, my god, sara – you've got me. i totally switched the two around! late night posting
thank you for pointing that out!! i'll switch it immediately!
This has been ONE OF MY FAVE pics of all time too!! The pillows are what caught my eye….I didn't know they were from Wisteria and I was so hopeful until i saw the price…
Ugh, I can't justify spending more than $100 on a cushion….darn!!

Do you know where the image is from? I've had it saved forever, but I foolishly forgot to save the source. It is such a gorgeous room!

It's Istvan Francer's house from Sept 09 Elle Decor.
