Everything’s coming up roses these days as an abundance of floral prints are still finding themselves on the runways and homes for the second spring season. Not being much of a floral girl myself, it’s hard to find the patterns that I think work for me, but these definitely do the trick…
Pixelated roses take their cue from needlepoint stitching, mixing a vintage craft with modern sensibilities (rug photo via Lonny). I was totally struck by Rachel Roy’s pre-fall collection which executed the pattern perfectly!
It reminded me of the Thakoon rug I’ve been drooling over and is also mimicked in this bag that I’ve been eying at Anthropologie. A perfect spring compliment, and an alternative to an all over floral pattern, I like taking these mini trends in mini doses.

I'm loving that little dress! That can be my mini dose =)

Cassandra,
What a lovely rug! I have bought a very similar (if not identical) piece from a Turkish artist at the Maison et Objet Paris fair last year. Unfortunately, however, I lost this guy's contacts.
I was unsuccessful at trying to find the credits for the rug at the magazine that you recommended. Could you give me a hand?
Thank you!

Who'd have thought this carpet would work so well? Saw it in Lonny too (isn't it a great issue?) and loved it combined with that orange chair. Very '60s, no?
I'm not much of a floral person myself but THAT RUG… I love it.
cool!
I LOVE this, one of my bffs Isabel is an incredibly talented textile designer (She used to do all of the prints for Tucker but is now on her own) and she was doing some samples with pixelated flowers last time I visited her studio…Innnteresting, I should ask her whatever became of those!
That Rachel Roy dress is great.
LOVING that rug….not a girl that normally goes for prints but now i'm ready for spring and these are perfect!
That is a lovely rug – and I wouldn't consider myself a rosey person either!
Beautiful florals! Hello spring….!
I'm not much for florals either, but I've been seeing prints lately that make florals a little less "sweet". I dare say they are beginning to grow on me.
I love this especially for the middle of winter! So bright and cheerful looking.
Hope your week`s off to a great start!

Love the idea of the "mini-dose." It's such a great way to try a trend.
These florals are definitely up my alley. I don't like dainty floral prints – they're too sweet for me.
lalalalalove!!!! Of course, I am always a sucker for floral anything!
I had to scroll back and look at that dress again. Lovely! Both feminine and sassy. Just need to run more around the neighborhood to get a pair of legs to go with it! Happy week! Monika
The carpet is making me curious as to how the rest of the room looks like. Do you happen to have the whole photo?
