KALEIDOSCOPE

Totally, completely obsessed with colorful geometric patterns right now…

A kaleidoscope of color – not too much, not too little – it’s perfect.

ooh the rug—i'm a firm believer (as I know you are too!) that a good rug can make a room. and that rug would make some seriously divine rooms indeed! (of course, given that it's from the rug company, are we really surprised?!)

Cassandra, you seriously have the best eye! The dress is stunning (= I want!) and the rug I see in a white room. What a statement it would make!

Happy, happy to beautiful you – and your beautiful blog. See you next year! Cyber hug, Mon.

BUT just as important as good content is good manners. My favorite bloggers are those who are a supportive part of this community and each other, so let's just keep that up, shall we girls? xo

Nothing says good manners and being supportive like posting a fellow blogger's crotch on the internet. Your support of the hideous blog that would do such a thing, shows your own lack of manners in spades.

    I won't be frequenting Coco + Kelly in 2010.

oh, thank you melissa!! so glad you're back :)

as for you ms (or perhaps mr?) vita ~ i'd encourage you to read that comment with the idea that maybe i wasn't really taking sides or pointing my words in one single direction? i don't necessarily agree with calling out other bloggers or making disparaging remarks about them in public (especially crotch shots). i also have zero personal issues with the blogger in question. all i'm asking is for everyone to play nice and if there are issues, that they are addressed like adults. THAT remark goes towards those who threaten lawsuits as well those posting crude (though sometimes entertaining) photos. in my experiences, the design blog community has been nothing but supportive of each other, and i intend to keep it that way.

If all you want is for people to play nice and address issues as adults, leaving a comment on that particular post is like proclaiming how much you support the Jewish religion while wearing an Adolf Hilter T-shirt. That post was the polar opposite of nice and adult. It would be great if we all got along and acted like mature adults, but we won't ever if that kind of thing is encouraged.

One last thing, if that woman was willing to publicly humiliate someone because she didn't play by her/your rules, what is she going to do to you, when you do something she doesn't like? These things always end badly.

anon – you know what? you're absolutely right. while i don't agree with comparing nazis to blog comments, i do agree that the nature of the post was immature. i would have liked to have left a comment on the previous post, but it had been deleted by then. for the record, when i started reading the previous post, i was almost surprised that i WASN'T included in this group of 'front row bloggers' being picked on (apparently i haven't reached that row yet). but THAT post (for the most part) was very well written. i didn't agree with all of it, but it was an interesting topic and worth a conversation – or at least an opinion.

as for behaving like adults, i have a feeling ALL of this could have been avoided had everyone behaved with a bit more maturity, and that includes conversations like these that are best reserved for emails. if you'd like to continue it, please feel free to do so there. thank you!
