Havin’ A (Disco) Ball

Don’t you just love the retro glam vibe of disco balls? Fabulous when paired with dark wood, used as the inspiration for an overdone gown, or clustered on the floor instead of the ceiling…

But my favorite purpose is for the room who just cant’ seem to take itself too seriously…

Perfectly unexpected and playful.

Unique, yes. But I have to say I don’t like the disco ball in that room. It’s near perfection as is and I can see a beautiful chandelier in that room.. not. a. disco ball. I know that everyone has his/her own taste/opinions, and I certainly respect what you are saying about this room not being taken too seriously. However, I think the “fun” aspect could have been brought in through maybe just adding a little more color…

Oh that skirt is beautiful. I love the disco ball in an otherwise sedate room. Also love the multiple disco balls. The light looks beautiful.

Ooooh, you just gave me an idea! I am a renter so I can’t really invest in beautiful pendants or chandeliers that need to be wired, so I’m always looking for reflecting surfaces like mirrored sconces that hold candles, mercury balls and lucite to reflect light. A disco ball might look kind of cool at night above my little round dining room table.
    Thanks!

I love Tim walker’s photo’s and a bit of disco in the home. That living room just might be my dream room. Then again, I like any excuse to bring the party home.

I HEART a good disco ball!

There is nothing prettier and it bounces so much light around!
