Room of the Week 10.2

Call me crazy but…

Going back to my love for glamorous design, I really love the risk designer Robin Bell took with the zebra wallpaper in this room. Take it away, and all your left with is a well designed and somewhat traditional room. But by adding it, she created modern and unique (and yes, a little over-the-top) space with great pattern and texture. I’m also looooving that coffee table, and the use of the shelving above the teeny bar cart to create extra storage for glasses and shakers. If this was a small corner of my home, I think I could actually live with it! What about you?

What I really love about this room is that it’s a perfect example of mixing browns, taupes, and other warm neutrals with black and white—sometimes people think they have to stick with one palette or the other, and this shows that it is possible to mix them when you do it right!

well said, city sage! and so true. i love mixing neutrals. just like for years people would not wear gold AND silver jewelry together… but that’s been thrown out the window lately! it’s all about mixin’ it up. thanks for the comment!

although incredibly bold, this is super stylish at the same time. if rooms have the right personality about them no amount of beautiful animal print could deter the stylish eyes of an individual who loves design
