I try not to repost other’s news, but when I got my Daily Candy email this morning I thought this one was worth it. Why?
Because this is not a pretty picture:
But this is:
And becuase my own little stash of paper and plastic bags is getting WAY too large!
We can all do our part to be more environmentally friendly and it starts with the smallest things, like this bag from Baggu. Made from super strong rip-stop nylon, the bag holds up to 25lbs and holds more than the grocery store’s paper or plastic bags. As they note on their website, “Using one Baggu for one year replaces 300 to 700 disposable bags.” And for only $22 for a pack of three bags, that’s quite the impact. It’s such a deal, in fact, that I’ll send one lucky reader their own three pack just for responding to this post. Pick your colors, make a comment, and I’ll draw a name on Friday! I picked fuschia, khaki and olive for mine

Those are so great – I love them! They also seem to hold more than the fabric bags most grocery stores sell! I really like the fuschia, khaki and olive too!
I pick Fuschia! I love your enviro-awareness
Not only can you make a difference with Baggu, but proceeds from the Feed Bag, a great looking reversible canvas tote designed by (hold your nose) Lauren Bush, goes toward ending world hunger. You can get yours at http://www.amazon.com/World-Food-Programme-Feed-Bag/dp/B000M3OP6A. I love the olive, gray, and khaki Bugga bags, btw!
Ooh, i love those bags! I’d pick olive, black and grey. My stash of plastic bags is also growing way out of size, so I could really use those!
Oh yes I know this bag. I think it’s is a great idea. I would pick the fuschia.
thanks for all your comments! the contest is open until friday ~ good luck! and thanks for the recommendation erin
I don’t know if your draw is open to Canadians, but I guess it doesn’t hurt to answer anyway: I’d pick olive, navy, and black.
I use a lot of cloth bags, but I think, for groceries, that a nylon bag would be easier to clean.
I know Emily, the owner/designer and she’s totally fabulous. *And* I am proud to say I have used her bags and they are the bomb. Makes me so happy to stop having to use plastic bags for everything.
